We close the month of May with many memories and lots of gratitude for our dancers, partners, funders and our network helping to keep the local Hip hop dancers of all generations engaged and involved.

Thank you to all who participated in our Kwik2Rok USA Breakin regional qualifier on May 21st, 2022 (16 All Star competitors) including Dancers Bgirl Mantis, BBoys - Flonetik, Kid Glyde, Mach Five, Malo, Uncle Will, Lokito, SmokePR, SuperJosh, Pop, Roflow, Super Herek, HeatRock, Wiz, Snow and Nebz, thank you to the judges (Bgirl Rokafella, Bboy Pollo and BBoy Jiggz and Bongo Roc),thank you to the 2 hosts Kwikstep and Danny Infamous who brought the history and the comedic energy to the competition and to the crowd at Tompkins Square Park. Thank you to our DJ DP One- the Blessing and mucho respect to the OG's who brought their wisdom DXT, The Twins, Chip, Sasa, Trixie and Peaches! Thank you to those who helped to organize, those who donated funds, the ones who brought Water/ Ice and even a Cooler from Target (Frank Concepcion Jr), thank you to Tomas and Vicky Smallz who helped lay the floor down and to Speedy D for helping with the USA Breakin Promo and banners. Thank you to Speedy Legs, DJ Sama and to Duane for the vision to bring this qualifier to NYC and partnering with Kwikstep and Rokafella on this historic event. Thank you to Box Avoided who captured moments on video! Thank you Float Master John for your talents not only as a phenomenal dancer and Hitter but also as a photographer! He captured many Kwik2Rok moments that appear in our slideshow.
Shoutout to Dance Parade NYC for the annual gathering of various NYC dance communities- 16 years of providing a platform for dancers to share their love for dance in NYC!

We experienced an NBK reunion in Jersey City with CUDA Culture at the annual Santa Cruzan festival battle on Grove St. It was great to see all the familiar faces and to support the new younger Breakers. Congrats to Cuda Culture and GI Jane for always organizing an annual jam for local dancers to participate. Shout to Bboy Bgirl Lifestyle- Rival’s program– that keeps Breakin alive in Jersey City. Shout to Bboy Rich Nyce from Newark who also represents the culture and community in NJ and continues to be involved in the events.
Shout to all the Breakers that competed. Congrats to BBoy Roflow adult 1v1 champ and to Quiet Storm and Bgirl Crazy for their 2v2 win! Shout to KBL – Kids Breakin League. Shout to those who support the United Hiphop Vanguard to this day. It was sparked in 2020 with the need to address concerns about the future of Breakin and has since visited Cleveland and Arizona and Jersey City and soon to Miami and Denver in June.
